Happy weekend to all!!!!
So this week I did a quick in-and-out to Montreal to do a press conference with Les Vikings. This summer we are touring all over Quebec performing in over 15 cities, including two in New Brunswick! I will be posting all the dates on my site ASAP. Also, be sure to check out the official VK website, www.lesvikings.ca
The conference took place on Friday morning, in the lobby of the Théâtre de L’Olympia, which is a beautiful theatre on Sainte-Catherine street, in the heart of downtown Montreal. I’ve been there a few times, I went to see Sugar Sammy for my birthday last year (amazing show, if you haven’t seen him live, do it now!). There was a great turn-out media wise, Journal de Montréal was there, as well as TVA, 7 jours magazine, and a few radio stations as well. Les Vikings is definitely growing and expanding and I’m so thrilled to be a part of the summer 2013 tour for the third year!
It was so nice to see my friends again, and to meet the new artists that will be joining us this year. There are some amazing additions to the line-up for some of the festivals we’ll be playing, including Garou, Marjo, singer/actor Jason Roy-Léveillé and some of Star Académie’s most recent stars! What’s really cool about Les Vikings is that we are all individual artists with unique musical styles, and we all come from different backgrounds, but when we come together on one stage to sing our hearts out and to rock out, there’s this very powerful vibe that links us all together and it’s wonderful. Les Vikings has definitely become like a second family to me in Québec, and I’m very lucky to be a part of it.
So, we began with the photo opp, where we all got our individual pictures taken as well as some group photos, followed by an interview portion. It went by very quick, and in an hour everything was over. That’s how these things go, fast and efficient 🙂
We all went to Richard Petit’s house afterwards for a little pow-wow/creative meeting. (Richard is the artistic director and founder of Les Vikings). Over lunch we talked logistics, itineraries, costumes and repertoire. And then around 5pm I was hopping on a train back to Toronto! Whew, that was literally an in-and-out lol. I had a great time though 🙂
Here are some fun pictures from the press conference!!! Please check out the tour dates and if you can make it, come see us!!!
Have a wonderful weekend my friends,
Lots of love
